For those of you who have kindly read and subscribed to this silly little blog, thank you so much for supporting us thus far.
The time has come for us to ask you again to indulge in a project of ours - though this time, it’s a tangible one you can experience for yourselves.
On the 22nd of November, we’ll be presenting our newest venture, Triskl. This newly formed record label and night reflects our spiritual connection to the music we love, hosted in a space that embodies the community we envision. After years of exploring scenes in Leeds, Manchester, and Berlin, discovering ourselves, and refining our musical tastes, we now find ourselves in London. Later this month, alongside some dear friends, we’ll be hosting the first encounter. With great pleasure, we extend this invitation to like-minded individuals, welcoming you to an immersive evening in a hidden corner of the city.
Triskl (pronounced tris-kull) draws inspiration from its namesake, the Celtic symbol of the triskele. You may be familiar with this ancient form, composed of three spirals unfurling from one centre. For millennia, this symbol has represented unity and flow, the kind of distinct mystical experience we associate with group euphoria so often felt on the dancefloor - shared grins, synchronous dancing, and pure delight. We have, you might say, taken something as old as time and interpreted it with an electronic twist.
Regrettably, we’ve noticed that London often lacks events where the effort to create an inclusive, welcoming space matches the passion poured into curating the music. Inspired by some of our favourite parties - such as Bakk Heia, Fandango, Multisex, Cartulis, and above all else, Waking Life - we’re prioritising music policy and genuine diversity. Triskl is a gathering of friends on the dancefloor, revelling in shared values, taste, and a soulful bond.
Our first line-up invites Olita and Dora to share the decks with our resident DJ, Bunney, for what promises to be a showcase of divine feminine energy and wild yet refined selections. A renowned digger and selector, Olita has travelled the world, gracing booths with her hypnotic sounds. A resident DJ at London’s Moon Coral, Dora is a rising talent with a carefully curated vinyl collection and a refined ear for deep, resonant tones. She shares a seamless musical connection with Olita, and together they co-host a show on Voices Radio under the alias SURORI
At a time when London’s nightlife is under threat, the opening of a new space catering to underground sounds is something to be celebrated. A self-proclaimed home for the heads, Gaffe is a venue created with clubbers in mind. Since opening its doors in September, Gaffe has sent ripples through the scene, garnering attention for its crimson-lit dancefloor, discreet location, and meticulous bookings. Taking advantage of their extended hours, the Triskl launch party kicks off at midnight and ends at 6 a.m., giving you just enough time to sink those last-order pints before heading to South London for a solid stint of dancing.
To Sammy, Pip, Ella, and the many others who have helped us get this project off the ground - you know who you are - thank you! We can’t wait to continue sharing our core ethos: presenting exceptional dance music to an open-minded, diverse crowd where everyone can express themselves and dance freely.
If you share these values, we invite you to join us on the 22nd. If you’ve enjoyed our content and read regularly, come and celebrate this next step in our journey. For those who can’t make it, pass on the date to someone who might be interested—small gestures like these go a long way in supporting grassroots events like ours.
In the meantime, be sure to follow us for updates on upcoming podcasts, future events, and new releases.
See you at the first encounter.
